The map below shows the current highest PM-10 (Local Conditions) 1-hour levels measured in micrograms per cubic meter (local conditions) (µg/m³ LC) for each of the metropolitan or other areas across United States where PM-10 (Local Conditions) is measured by the TREX. More detailed maps showing the current 1-hour PM-10 (Local Conditions) levels measured at each site in a particular area are available by clicking on the boxes on the map. These levels are based on data measured at the TREX's continuous air monitoring stations and may include data from local governments and private monitoring networks.

The color-coding of the hourly PM-10 data is based on a 1-hour to 24-hour projection. This projection is based on statistics compiled over several years comparing the daily maximum 1-hour average to the midnight-to-midnight 24-hour average.
The table below shows the levels, color-coding, and suggested actions for both the 1-hour projection and the actual 24-hour standard.
